Building Control Northern Ireland

This portal acts as the core source of information on building regulations and other associated legislation for the general public and construction professionals in Northern Ireland.

The portal provides information on building regulations and how to make an application to Building Control, along with many major advice and guidance topics. A directory is provided to inform the public of their local council Building Control office and points of contact. An on-line Fee Calculator works out Plan and Inspection fees prior to making an application.

The entire portal is content managed using StreamOn’s content management system. This has provided Building Control NI with the freedom and flexibility to update the portal, ensuring the construction industry and general public are kept fully up-to-date with legislation.

East Border Region Tourism Partnership

East Border Region Tourism Partnership

StreamOn have developed a multi award winning tourism software solution for the Partnership. The solution provides access to a web-based multimedia system via a network of kiosks positioned in the region. The solution is also available on the Internet as a website.

The partnership´s aim is to promote the East Border region of Ireland to tourists, focussing on tourist attractions and activities. Strategically placed kiosks powered by StreamOn software provide the backbone of the project in the local tourist market. The website acts as a stimulant for attracting foreign visitors into the region.

StreamOn´s software enables visitors to search for and obtain information on attractions in the region, dynamically adapting according to the location of the kiosk. StreamOn´s core video streaming technology is utilised to provide a fully informative and dynamic multi-media experience for the visitor to the East Border Region.

Punjana

Punjana

StreamOn have designed and developed Punjana´s e-commerce website. Punjana tasked StreamOn with the challenge of providing the company with a new distribution medium which would expand the reach of the brand beyond the traditional markets of the U.K. and Ireland. StreamOn´s solution has been a raging success - the website is demonstrating strong sales trends in the U.S.A., Canada, Spain, Germany and Denmark.

Punjana have utilised StreamOn´s core streaming technology to stream their television advertisement archive which dates back to 1959. This feature provides and reinforces the important family theme that is central to the brand.

The website was awarded Belfast Business Awards Best Business Website accolade. This recognises the quality visual design, the excellence in application of multi-media, and the high impact e-commerce solution.

TruCorp

TruCorp

StreamOn have developed a corporate e-commerce website for TruCorp which enables this cutting edge company to showcase its products and support its worldwide distributor network.

Reflecting the unique nature of TruCorp´s products, StreamOn have recorded and streamed procedure demonstrations. TruCorp found that profiling their products via the internet using traditional website technology was frustratingly prohibitive. Utilising the power of streaming video, StreamOn have devised a method for fully demonstrating the functionality and ease-of-use of their product range. Sixteen product demonstration videos, together with an integrated PowerPoint and video presentation, inform and educate the target audience.

Hewlett Packard

Hewlett Packard

StreamOn are subcontracted by HP to provide video encoding, hosting and broadcast and on-demand video delivery to all schools throughout N. Ireland. This managed service is part of the Classroom 2000 (C2k) initiative.

In 2010 we introduced our new VoD product. VoD provides the C2k network with a YouTube type platform. Teachers and pupils can browse and watch a library of videos using Real and Flash players, or even on their iPhone.

Teachers and other approved content contributors can upload videos for automated encoding and assign these to relevant categories. In addition to on- demand features, VoD provides live streaming channels for the scheduling and presentation of live events.

BTW Shiells

BTW Shiells

StreamOn have recently designed and developed this very high profile commercial estate agency website. BTW Shiells had an existing website which no longer met the company's communication objectives. StreamOn were selected to develop the new site based on our experience in being able to translate user requirements into award winning online software solutions.

The site provides BTW Shiells with a vehicle for clearly presenting their properties online. StreamOn’s content management system enables the client to add properties to the site with absolute ease. They find it extremely easy and straightforward to use.

We also developed interactive features, including the insertion of dynamic map24 maps illustrating the location of properties. Each time a property is loaded a call is made to the map24 system which seamlessly loads the exact location into a frame on the page.

Panasonic Evolution

Panasonic Evolution

StreamOn have recently launched a video based e-learning website for Panasonic System Solutions Europe, Panasonic Evolution.

Panasonic were using an existing ‘flat’ e-learning system and approached StreamOn about developing a video based interactive e-learning website. StreamOn's EdCast product was subsequently licensed to Panasonic.

The published courses are a combination of video and PowerPoint seminars, with videos of installation practices and technical set-ups. A number of the courses have been produced by StreamOn's video production department. Testing and certification is a feature of the website, as is the ability to discuss educational topics, equipment etc. on discussion forums. The site handles external course payments via EdCast's e-commerce module.

The site is used internationally by Panasonic employees and distributors.

Equality Commission for Northern Ireland

Equality Commission for Northern Ireland

StreamOn developed the Equality Commission’s website. This site plays a very important part in the Commission’s communication strategy. It acts as the focal point of all information published by the Commission, thus enabling it to function as a one-stop advice portal. The information is delivered to stakeholders using a clear and easy navigational structure, site search (including document text search), sign-posts, and quick links on the homepage.

StreamOn's Content Management System enables the Commission administrators to immediately update all information and resources published on the site. The Commission use this facility to excellent effect, and incorporate interactive elements such as user polls.

The site is designed and built to an extremely high accessibility level. The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative Level AAA was achieved for launch of the site. Consequently, and crucially for this organisation, all content is accessible to as many people as possible.
